This is one of the most beautiful parks in Cincinnati. Swaim (although I’m not sure how to pronounce it’s name) has two beautiful duck ponds with a fountain, big blooming trees in the spring, a paved walking or bike trail winding through the playground past the picnic tables over the tiny wooden bridge that stretches from one parking lot to the other parking lot which marks it’s borders. There are bathrooms available Spring, Summer, and Fall (which is always a PLUS), and be sure to keep an eye out for it’s many community activities including their weekly summer lunch concert series and their FREE Halloween Fall festival (which one year included free pumpkin painting, free pony rides, free music and group dancing lessons, free hay rides, and all kinds of food to purchase at minimal fees).
The playground has a large sandbox, but I’ve often joked with my kids that we were going to the “Cincinnati Beach” where they play happily in the sand volleyball courts with their friends. There is plenty to do at Swaim and it feels like a true “Walk in the Park”. It is a great place to meet up with other Moms for the day.
