Info: Home to the Cincinnati Art Museum, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park and the Krohn Conservatory , Eden Park is one of the most popular of the Cincinnati Parks. Landmarks within the park include Hinkle Magnolia Garden, which features a picturesque gazebo, the John Rule Deupree Memorial, and the Bettman Fountain. Trail Map Twin Lakes, once an old quarry, features two lakes, a footbridge and walking paths, an impressive view of the Ohio River and Kentucky, several sculptures and a playground. It’s a great spot for chess or launching model boats. Nearby is a 172-foot high Water Tower from 1894 and now used by the City of Cincinnati as a communications facility.
Eden Park is one of the most beautiful “vistas” or views of Cincinnati. It is magestic to sit on the wall and look down at the Ohio River, the Big Mac bridge, Newport, and Kentucky. It feels like a view taken from some European painting. Yes, there is a little playground for the kids to enjoy, but it is mostly a gorgeous place to bring visitors, take family photos or spend a peaceful hour for lunch. The two ponds and little bridge are surrounded with hundreds of blooming trees in the Spring and the ducks are always close by looking for food. It is a truly beautiful spot.
The streets that go through the park can be a little difficult to navigate, if you are unfamiliar with the park. So, be sure to keep eye out for landmarks. The Art Museum and Playhouse in the Park are to the southwest, Krohn Conservatory to the east, and Twin Lakes (and playground) to the northeast.
