Outdoor Fun & Parks

All Golf at Laden

All Golf at Laden

All Golf is a year round lighted golf learning and practice center, but we went for their miniature golf. It is a large and beautifully landscaped putt-putt course with 18-holes surrounded with ponds, waterfalls, sand traps, and fun challenging hills. The bushes can sometimes make it hard to see where the hole is or... where your child is, but it is one of the nicest mini-golf facilities in all of Cincinnati. Read More »

Blueberry Picking at Green Acres Nursery

Blueberry Picking at Green Acres Nursery

Apparently, Green Acres is new to the "Blueberry Picking" fun and they are planning to plant more crops aimed towards the seasonal U-pick crowd, but we found them and had so much fun in July... picking blueberries. It was $10 for 3 quarts, and we drove across the street to the fields of blueberry bushes where we spent our morning hunting for the bluest and ripest blueberries to pick. Read More »

Big Bonelick State Park

Big Bonelick State Park

Recreated grasslands, wetlands and wooded savannas lie along the Discovery trail leading to the paved Bonelick Creek Trail where you'll literally see a herd of real Buffalo. This park blooms all through the months of Spring and Summer, and changes into a world of new colors in the Fall. When we want to go for "a walk in the park", we enjoy the great outdoors at this state park. The trails provide lots of shade and lots of level walking ground great for all ages. Read More »

McDonald Commons Park

McDonald Commons Park

McDonald Commons Park has the best and longest monkey bars! There are lots of things to climb and crawl through in both playgrounds that are next to each other by the covered picnic tables, and there is lots and lots of sun. All the trees are actually behind the softball fields and that is where you find the beautiful trails, creek, and wooden bridge. This is a wonderful Madeira neighborhood park. Read More »

Eden Park

Eden Park

Eden Park is one of the most beautiful "vistas" or views of Cincinnati. It is magestic to sit on the wall and look down at the Ohio River, the Big Mac bridge, Newport, and Kentucky. It feels like a view taken from some European painting. Read More »

Ault Park

When someone says, "Let's meet up at Ault Park" they are usually talking about the gorgeous, shaded, big playground to the right at the top of the hill surrounded by a forest of trees, but Ault Park actually offers much more than just a beautiful playground. There is the observatory which over-looks all of Cincinnati, the picturques pavillion, and trails too. Read More »

Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden

The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden is literally one of the top zoos in the nation. To this day, I do not think that my kids have seen the entire zoo. It is huge, beautiful, and always alive with interactive shows, feeding stations, and new exhibits. Read More »

Sharon Woods

Sharon Woods is a huge Hamilton County park which could not possibly be enjoyed and admired in just one day. For outdoor fun, there is the harbor with the extensive modern playground, mini-water world with fountain sprays, rental paddle boats and canoes, and a covered pavillion for picnicing. For indoor fun, there is the "Treehouse" or Adventure Station in the Sharon Center, as well as educational nature displays and the tunnel fish tank. The Heritage Village is also on the premises of Sharon Woods. Read More »
